Meeting healthcare associates where they are

With a largely offline workforce of healthcare associates who are on the go in hospital environments, CHRISTUS Health appreciates that Achievers’ mobile app meets employees where they are.

Using a recognition platform to improve care delivery

CHRISTUS Health runs a harm prevention program through Achievers to improve the clinical care quality they provide, focusing on central line associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI). Every single ICU that was part of the pilot program saw improvement.

Similarly, CHRISTUS Health uses the Achievers platform to facilitate a Near Miss/Zero Harm program to continue to cultivate a culture wherein associates feel comfortable speaking up and to increase the reporting of on-the-job near misses. By using Achievers in this way, the result was a dramatic six-fold rise in near miss reporting.

Driving retention ROI by decreasing nurse turnover

CHRISTUS Health’s attrition analysis results found that associates who responded unfavorably to engagement survey questions around recognition were 3x more likely to leave the organization in the next three months than those who responded favorably. CHRISTUS used this insight with benchmark data to empower leaders to be more intentional about providing frequent and meaningful recognition through Achievers, resulting in an increase in recognitions.

Combined with campaigns like their Associate Resiliency program, where associates who participated had 2.9% lower turnover rate, CHRISTUS Health has been able to achieve 250% ROI on their Achievers program.
