In partnership with the Achievers team, Meijer measured the recognition frequency rates for those employees who stayed and those who left. They found that those who stayed received 3x the number of recognitions of those who didn’t, and those that turned over voluntarily received the same number of recognitions as employees who were asked to leave.

Another study showed that the cashiers who were recognized the most frequently also tended to have the best customer satisfaction metrics; customers rated them as the friendliest and the fastest for checkout services.
