By 2014, Availity, the nation’s largest health information network, realized its employee recognition efforts weren’t hitting the mark. While programs like Employee-of-the-Month were in place, Pulse Surveys revealed employees felt the recognition process lacked clarity and didn’t align with the company’s values.

Both employees and leaders agreed — it was time for a more consistent, impactful approach to celebrate achievements and strengthen their culture.

A clear vision and bold goals

Determined to find a solution, Availity set out to create a transparent, real-time recognition program. The company identified four key goals to guide their search for the right platform:

  1. Maintain transparency and communication across the organization
  2. Consolidate recognition efforts into one unified solution
  3. Optimize their budget for rewards and recognition
  4. Use recognition to address the challenges of geographic spread

How Availity achieves success with Achievers

In March 2015, Availity launched its LOVE program — Living Our Values Everyday — on the Achievers platform, designed to recognize employees for living the company’s values. The result? Increased engagement and an outstanding 99.5% activation rate across the organization.
